Traditional and HEPA air filters are designed to trap and block small particulates. Even if traditional filters can collect viruses, microorganisms, and pollens, the filter does not eradicate them.
In traditional filters, microbials can accumulate and some even grow at trapping sites over time. This may result in the structural deterioration of the filter and the dissemination of viruses, microorganisms, and pollens in the air.
